Are flock cameras a good thing for Arrowhead?

It’s Friday, and we’ve got another busy weekend around Arrowhead! This week we’re looking at the growing controversy surrounding Flock surveillance cameras, an important Loop 101 closure to know about before you hit the road, and some very cool live music and events happening around the West Valley.

Concerns over Flock license plate cameras are growing across Arizona, with several Valley police departments investigating potential misuse and some cities restricting or eliminating the technology altogether. Supporters point to the cameras as a valuable public safety tool, while critics are raising increasingly serious questions about privacy, oversight, and Fourth Amendment protections. (link)

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for the following closures as part of the Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) widening project.
