Loop 101 lane restrictions

Lane restrictions are ongoing at the following locations for bridge work and frontage road improvements.

At the 51st and 35th avenue interchanges:

All on- and off-ramps will be narrowed to one lane The left-turn lane for both east- and westbound on-ramps will be narrowed to one lane 51st and 35th avenues will be narrowed to one lane under Loop 101 At the 31st Avenue interchange:

The 31st Avenue shoulders will be closed under Loop 101. Pedestrian access is still available. Frontage roads:

The east- and westbound frontage roads (Beardsley Road) will be narrowed to one lane throughout the project area. The frontage road improvements are expected to be completed in early- to mid-March 2025. (link)

Glendale seeking help from artists

The city of Glendale announced a call for artists to design, fabricate, and install unique and captivating artwork for the Downtown Campus Reinvestment Project, an initiative aimed at transforming and revitalizing the city’s downtown area. (link)

Loop 101 beautification project

The City of Glendale is considering a beautification project to its portion of the Loop 101, which would include aesthetic improvements as part of the current construction project. (link)

Valley St. Patrick’s Day Events

~Phoenix St. Patrick’s Day Parade, March 15th. The 42nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Phoenix, AZ is scheduled for MarchHance, 2025 at 10am. The Parade takes place in Downtown Phoenix. The route goes down 3rd street from Oak St. to Margaret T Hance Park. (link)

~Irish Fountain Fest in Fountain Hills, March 15th. Head to Fountain Hills for Irish Fountain Fest, which includes St. Patrick’s Day festivities and the ‘greening of the fountain.’ (link)

Haldi Indian Holi Buffet

Haldi Indian Cuisine at 59th & Union Hills is hosting their Holi Buffet on Saturday March 15th from 4-830pm. (link)
