Finally, some interesting weather & rain here in Arrowhead, well, a little anyways.

I hope you made it through the wind & dust earlier this week, and are prepped for more monsoon storms this weekend.

Weather aside, if you’re not on a beach in California, it is shaping up to be a fun weekend here in Arrowhead Ranch.

TSMC announced it will invest an additional $100 billion to expand its North Phoenix campus, bringing its total Arizona investment to $265 billion and paving the way for four more advanced chip fabrication plants. The expansion is expected to create thousands of high-paying jobs while further cementing Arizona's role as a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing and AI technology. (link)

We finally got a true taste of monsoon season, with powerful thunderstorms, dramatic dust storms (haboobs), heavy rain, and impressive lightning lighting up the Valley over the past few days. While the storms have brought cooler temperatures and much-needed moisture, they've also caused blowing dust & some damage locally.

I enjoy the change in the weather and I’m a bit of a radar geek, but these storms are no joke. Please be mindful as the monsoon pattern isn't finished yet. Forecasters are calling for additional chances of afternoon and evening thunderstorms across the Phoenix area over the next week, bringing the potential for heavy rain, strong wind gusts, frequent lightning, and more blowing dust. While not every neighborhood will see a storm each day, residents should stay weather-aware, as conditions can change quickly and localized flooding and travel impacts remain possible.

[Glendale Libraries] Experience the sights, sounds, and rhythms of Africa this summer as Glendale Public Library hosts a free African Music and Arts Village series featuring South African recording artist Baba Shibambo. The series includes live performances, storytelling, traditional instruments, interactive workshops, and cultural experiences designed for all ages at Glendale library locations.
