Restaurant Review: AJ's Patio BBQ

If you’re not a regular at AJ’s Fine Foods, you may not know that at lunch time they open their outdoor kitchen on the patio, serving different types of burgers, hot dogs and sandwiches from the grill.

I had the classic burger with American cheese and a side of baked beans. It had been a while since I got lunch on the patio and I remember the combo coming with two side dishes, but you only get one now. I used to get the beans and the potato salad, which was excellent.

The beans are still very good as well. The burger was as to be expected. Better than a fast food burger, but not as good as what you would get at a sit down restaurant.

If you’re looking for a different place to grab a quick lunch and sit outside, this is a great option. Plus you can head inside and get one of their famous iced tea drinks.

TOP TIP: If you’re just getting a regular iced tea drink, skip the Boulangerie and head to the back section where they have the prepared foods. They have all the same flavors of tea there and the line is usually much shorter.
