I had occasion to visit Calitacos at 75th Ave & Glendale this week for an industry event (thanks for the tacos Aaron!!), and while it is not in Arrowhead, this is a taco chain to keep on your radar and be sure to visit if you are near one of their locations.
Located in a brand new building on the SW corner of 75th Avenue & Glendale Avenue, just north of Talmachoff Farms, this is the newest location of Calitacos.
They also have locations at 3rd Street & Bell Road in Phoenix, as well as Avondale, Buckeye, Chandler, Tolleson and Mesa.
The event I went to included their taco combo, which is three tacos with your choice of meat plus rice & beans and a drink, which they offer for just $7.99. I doubt you can find a better deal for the amount of food you get.
I had the carne asada, carnias & birria, but when I go back I’ll be getting about six of the carne asada! It was so good and their red sauce had just the right amount of extra kick.
