I was driving around in Arrowhead Ranch the Bell corridor a couple of weeks ago, just to see what I could see and keep tabs on what is coming and going.

Tucked away in a small strip center, I came across Uncle Panda Dumpling & Noodle House. I was able to stop in for lunch a few days ago, and this is what I had.

I was expecting an inline type place where you order at the counter and then sit down to eat once your food is ready. I was surprised to find this was a sit down restaurant with full table service.

I had the Pork Belly Buns (S2) and the Pork Wonton in Chili Sauce (W2). I’m a big peanut fan so these were both perfect for me, stay away if you have an allergy. The lady who served me this day was sure to ask if I had an allergy which was a nice touch.

The chili sauce wasn’t overly spicy and I ended up dunking the pork belly buns into this sauce as well. It’s a miracle I didn’t get it all over my shirt

The pork belly was a bit bland by itself, but adding some soy and siracha really make for a nice bite.

Their menu was quite extensive, and if I’m honest I was a bit overwhelmed and made some quick decisions. Next time I go back there are several things I’d like to try. The one nice thing is they have lots of dumpling options, but they also have a menu full of traditional dishes. If someone in your party isn’t up for trying dumplings, they can get Mongolian Beef or Orange Chicken. They have something for everyone.

The food was very good, the one drawback was the price. I spent over $30 with the two dishes, a soda and tip. I did take leftovers home with me, so perhaps it was priced about right since I had lunch for two days. I guess it just costs $30 per person to eat out these days…

You can see their full menu here.
