Gas prices continue to rise
Arizona drivers are paying more at the pump for the second week in a row, with the statewide average climbing to about $4.34 per gallon, well above the national average. Rising crude oil prices and global supply concerns are being blamed for the increase, and experts say prices could remain elevated in the near term.

We traded monsoons for the broiler
If you've been looking for an excuse to stay inside this weekend, Mother Nature just gave you one. With temperatures expected to soar into the upper teens and an Extreme Heat Warning in effect, it's the perfect weekend to check out a local museum, catch a movie, visit an indoor attraction, or enjoy a long lunch somewhere with great air conditioning. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and save the outdoor adventures for early morning or after sunset.

Whole Foods construction is underway
Construction continues to move forward on the future Whole Foods Market at Arrowhead Towne Center, where crews are transforming the former Big Lots building into the grocery chain's newest West Valley location. While an opening date has not yet been announced, the project is another exciting addition to the growing mix of shopping and dining options in the Arrowhead area.
