I posted the other day about the local 4th of July events and fireworks shows going on here in the Valley, and it got me thinking that maybe it would be a good idea to get out of the heat to enjoy some fireworks.
If you’re heading north from Phoenix to get some reprieve from the scorching temps, below are some details on Independence Day events & fireworks shows happening outside of the Valley.

When: July 4, gates open at 1 p.m., fireworks around 9 p.m.
Details: A family-friendly lakeside festival with live music, food vendors, kids’ activities, and fireworks over Watson Lake
When: July 4 evening, drone show ~9:10 p.m.
Details: A wildfire-safe drone show over East Flagstaff, plus a morning parade, music, and community celebration .
When: July 4, 1 p.m.–9 p.m., fireworks at 9 p.m.
Details: Community games, live music, water activities, food vendors, and a fireworks finale .
When: July 4 parade at 9 a.m.; Freedom Fest 3–9 p.m.; fireworks at 9 p.m.
Details: Morning parade, splash zone, food trucks, lumberjack shows, music, then fireworks at the high school .
When: July 4, morning race & breakfast, patriotic program, BBQ, fireworks in the evening
Details: Small-town celebration with a 5K race, pancake breakfast, parade, BBQ and fireworks to close the day .
When: July 4, noon–4 p.m. pool party; fireworks at dusk
