Neighborhood Highlight: Martinez Park

It is easy to miss, with the beautiful lake & mountain views, but there is a cute little park in the heart of Arrowhead Lakes called Martinez Park.

Located just east of Arrowhead Lakes Park, on the corner of 55th Avenue & Tonopah Drive. You’ll find a grassy area along the water and a bench under & pergola, all with views of the lake & the mountains. It is a great spot to stop and enjoy a sunset or just take a break from a busy day.

There is a secret side to the park as well, that even most residents don’t know about. If you cross to the south side of Tonopah Drive, you’ll find a pathway that leads to a bench on the water with views across the lake to the south.

Martinez Park is named after Manny Martinez, a former Cholla District City Councilman, who played an influential part in many of the major developments in the City of Glendale. Including the development of Westgate & bringing the Arizona Cardinals to Glendale.
