Typically, I’m content to stay at home and spend the 4th of July grilling hot dogs and trying to avoid the heat. This year though, I’m thinking it might be fun to go see a fireworks show in person.
I started doing some research on the best shows and turns out there are quite a few events and fireworks shows that I didn’t know about.
If you’re looking to celebrate Independence Day at an event, there are some great options.

Why go: This hometown favorite offers live music from Rock Lobster, BMX stunt shows, food vendors, games, and an epic fireworks show. Free admission, family-friendly, and full of patriotic fun.

Why go: Just minutes from Peoria, this Westgate celebration includes live music, a beer garden, family games, and a festive crowd.

Where: 1933 S Ballpark Way, Goodyear
Why go: Family fun with live entertainment, food trucks, and a brand-new drone light show in addition to fireworks.

Why go: Perfect for tailgaters! Features music-synced fireworks, kids’ activities, and food trucks.

Why go: One of the Valley’s biggest indoor-outdoor parties, with bull riding, pie-eating contests, bounce houses, and a massive fireworks finale.

Where: Fountain Park, Fountain Hills
Why go: Chill picnic setting with food vendors, music, and a great view of the famous fountain and fireworks over the water.

Why go: Affordable fun with live music, food, games, and a drone & fireworks show. Adults $10, kids under 12 are free.
